The Ames Community College Education and Development Program is a career-building internship opportunity specifically designed for SF Bay Area community college students.
The ACCEDP initiative supports the NASA Education Framework by addressing the shortage of college students engaged in and pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and NASA Mission Support (STEM-M). To this end ACCEDP has partnerships with SF Bay Area community colleges to recruit talented students to participate in internships with NASA researchers and mission support professionals. By offering students the opportunity to work with NASA scientists and engineers, ACCEDP expands career horizons for those students and allows them to acquire technical knowledge and critical skills.
ACCEDP supports NASA by providing the agency access to a method for tapping pools of technical and administrative talent to meet workforce needs and enhance the workforce development pipeline. The ACCEDP is currently recruiting students and accepting project submissions for the following sessions:
